Top Pickleball Pro Stuck Overseas
Yesterday, we got news that pickleball superstar, Jocelyn “Jay” Devilliers, is unable to make it back to the US for the PPA Atlanta Grand Slam.
“Due to a personal matter, I’ve had to travel back to France and am now waiting for the necessary paperwork that will allow me to come back and continue to play on the PPA Tour,” Devilliers said.
With one of the worlds top players dropping out the day before, the brackets will be shaken up a bit. He will obviously be missed in the singles bracket, but what about his mens doubles and mixed doubles partners?
We are not exactly sure the logistics of this, but Jay’s mens doubles partner, Tyson McGuffin, will now team up with Tyler Loong. Loong was originally teamed up with Julian Arnold who will now be playing with Eric Abraham.
Jessie Irvine, Jay’s mixed doubles partner, will now be playing with Kyle Yates.
We will definitely miss watching Jay Devilliers this weekend but we are excited for the action to get started today.
Keep up with tournament and tune into the livestreams all weekend long.
