The Pat McAfee Show Discovered Pickleball & Is Now Addicted
The Pat McAfee Show was in Arizona to cover the Super Bowl last week and found something more interesting than football.
When they arrived to their Airbnb, they found a pickleball court in the backyard.
“As soon as it gets pitch black in the desert, the person who built the house we were living at said ‘this sun thing ain’t gonna stop me from playing pickleball all night long,’ and we did. 4 or 5 hours of pickleball last night.” - Pat McAfee
Pat McAfee, AJ Hawk, and others are officially addicted to pickleball after day 1.
“Whatever you think about the pickleball game not being in our life until yesterday vs what the future is going to look like with us in pickleball. How do you feel about it all AJ?” - Pat McAfee
“I feel like it has legs. It’s going to stay. It’s not going to be a flash in the pan.” - AJ Hawk
Will we be seeing Pat McAfee and AJ Hawk team up for some tournaments, celebrity events or possibly buy team? Only time will tell but they definitely caught the pickleball bug.
“We played 11 or 12 games of pickleball last night. I am sore. What an incredible sport this is… This sport has obviously captivated the world. Drew Brees has a team, Gary Vee has a team, Tom Brady has a team, Kevin Durant has a team… It is a great game. It is fantastic and I’m glad we found it. I love everything about that game.” - Pat McAffe
