USA Pickleball National Championship Tournament Date Change
The USA National Championship is a tournament many players look forward to participating in, as it is one of the best known and long running. This year, however, you may need to change your plans if you already booked a flight to Indian Wells in California. The event is normally held in November, although it was not played in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2021 event was supposed to be in mid-November, but the scheduling of the 2021 BNP Paribas Open, a tennis event in October, caused a ripple effect. So now, the USA National Championships will be held December 6-14.
This gives the Indian Wells Tennis Garden the time to transform the venue to include 48 pickleball courts and one stadium court. The Professional Pickleball Association will then move its Master's event from December 9-12 to November 10-14. This allows players in both events to still play both tournaments. Next year’s USA National Championship is planned for November 5-12, 2022.
