Anna Leigh Waters and Ben Johns Finally Lost!? | Pro Pickleball Desert Ridge Open
This weekend the pickleball world was in Pheonix, Arizona for the PPA Desert Ridge Open. It seems like every week things just keep getting better. The competition, athleticism, broadcasting, commentating, fan base, crowd size, everything!
The competition is getting so good that Anna Leigh Waters and Ben Johns finally lost!
Ok… not quite… let me explain:
Anna Leigh Waters competed in Pro Womens Doubles, Pro Mixed Doubles, and Pro Womens Singles. Between all three events, she played 13 matches/30 games. She lost a whopping 2 games… She won the triple crown, winning gold in all three events. Safe to say she is still on top despite losing a couple games.
Ben Johns competed in Pro Mens Doubles, Pro Mixed Doubles, and Pro Mens Singles. Between his three events, he lost 3 of his 35 games and didn’t lose a match all weekend. Pretty dominating to say the least.
We keep hearing about all of these new tennis stars coming into pickleball but it doesn’t seem to slow down Anna Leigh Waters or Ben Johns. How much longer can they stay on top?
